Boko Haram strikes Borno state

The city of Maiduguri, Borno State was as early as 7:30 a.m. today attacked by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members as they reportedly attacked Giwa Barracks, one of the strategic military formations in the state. The barracks is not very far from the Government House and polo area. The daring attack is suspected to be a response to the current heavy bombardment of the insurgents’ hide-outs in Sambisa, Barga and several others hidden in the savannah north and central parts of the state.
