Read All About Her New Album, New Videos, New Love And That Ring

Mo'Cheddah talks about her music plans, why she took a break and her personal life in a recent interview.

Nigerian music star Modupe-Oreoluws Oyeyemi Ola famous by the name Mo'Cheddah recently gave an exclusive interview to BellaNaija where she gave sincere responses to professional and personal questions.

Mo'Cheddah revealed that she has been on a break from stage while spending time recording new material, she also managed to spend some time with her family and friends that she could not afford before.



Talking about new track 'Destinambari', she said that when she was creating it she was inspired by love, as she loves to love and that helped her create this track.

As for collaborating with Phyno, she said: "It was amazing, it was easy and it was fun, Phyno has great talent and is good in his art. "

The video concept was by Clarence Peters, and Mo'Cheddah describes him as simply: "the best".

She also teases us about new videos coming up soon and we just can't wait to see them. However, we might have to wait for some time to see the new album as there are not enough tracks at the moment for it.



As for the personal life, Mo'Cheddah is not very clear. When asked whether the inspiration for a love song was taken from someone in her life she replied with vague "Hmmm, maybe…"

She also made some comments on a recent photo of a ring on 'that' finger, that raised some questions, by saying: "Lol, it was a normal ring, it didn't look like that type of ring. I was wondering why people were talking. But good news, errrrr, wait for it." So, quite possibly that this will mean some major changes in her life that are yet to come.

Mo'Cheddah also said some great inspiring words about Nigerian music industry, saying that she is pleased with the fact that it has grown and that women are gaining more and more influence and will soon become 'peers with the guys' and maybe even 'supercede' them.



The reporter also rushed to ask her on her new hairdo, and the singer proudly said that what started as an experiment has now grown to the "Mo'Cheddah Cut."

The singer also said that as she is not very often in the clubs these days, she cannot name any particular song she likes, still she would love to work with AKA, who is from South Africa.

The last question was a usual request to a popular artist - advice to those who are beginning, and Mo'Cheddah's advice was: "Be focused, set your own trend, have your own identity and believe.
