The governor declared this at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport on May 26, 2014, Monday, upon arrival to Owerri from Abuja.
He further noted that suspension of political rallies across Nigeria was a good step, but it was not enough to make the real impact on the situation in Nigeria.
Okorocha recommended the president to summon a big meeting on insecurity in Borno state. According to him, the event must have the governors and the stakeholders in attendance.
"Nigerians have done enough protests and mourning. What is required now is action to see that the girls are freed and to curb insecurity," he declared.
The governor further noted that protests on insecurity issues had no effect, since terrorist attacks by Boko Haram sect members continued in Borno, Jos and other Northern states.
Therefore, he advised leaders of the nation gather and share ideas on how to save Nigeria, instead of sitting at their comfortable homes.
"This is the time to act rather than thinking about re-election," Okorocha concluded.
It would be noted that the Governor of Imo State has been in the centre of controversy recently due to several indications that he may dump the All Progressive Congress in order to fulfil his 2015 ambitions.
