Why Boko Haram Bombed Nyanya Park And Kidnapped School Girls In Chibok

As relatives of the victims of Nyanya Motor Park in Abuja still continue to mourn the death of nearly 100 innocent citizens that were killed in the bomb blast that occurred at Nyanya motor park in Abuja, and the nation still battling to unravel the whereabouts of over 200 schoolgirls kidnapped in Chibok, Borno State, findings have revealed that both tragic incidents were reprisal attacks from the Boko Haram sect. According to the Global Village Extra, the insurgents decided to carry out the attack and kidnapping after they were angered by the killing of some of their strong members by the State Security Service (SSS) during a recent jailbreak attempt they perpetrated in Abuja. The news media stated that it gathered from an impeccable intelligence reports from a team of State CID and SSS officials, who investigated the Nyanya blasts and the kidnap of the school girls, that the Boko Haram terrorists were on a mission to avenge the killing of their members by the SSS. It also informed that the intelligence report revealed that the insurgents are likely to carry out more attacks, most likely in Abuja. Hence, security has been beefed up in and around the Federal Capital Territory. According to the report, it is however uncertain if those who reside at the outskirts of Abuja are also effectively secured.
