Christiano Ronaldo girlfriend, Irina, blasted for semi nude photo for #bringbackourgirls

Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend, Irina Shayk, is in the middle of social media scrutiny after she posed semi-nude for the "Bring Back Our Girls" campaign.
The Sports Illustrated model showed her support for the "Bring Back Our Girls" advocacy - a campaign to rescue 276 schoolgirls kidnapped by the Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram - by posting online topless photos of herself while holding a cardboard sign bearing the "#Bring Back Our Girls!!!" hashtag, Mirror has learned.
Irina, 28, joined the likes of first lady Michelle Obama and model Cara Delevingne, Anne Hathaway and Angelina Jolie, among other celebrities, who carried similar placard sign in support of the cause.
However, the Russian beauty's somewhat different approach caused a stir online. After the said photos appeared on her Instagram and Facebook accounts, social media users were quick to voice their disapproval of Shayk's photo calling her move "disrespectful and ignorant," Huffington Post reported.
"This [is] utterly distasteful, ignorant, vile and egregious. Stop your self [sic] pandering," Facebook user Jeremy Gregory said, according to Daily Mail. "Using a cause as horrible as the kidnapping of these poor girls and making it about you is messed up. It's shameless. How about using some of your modeling money and donate it to one of these organizations working to free these girls?"
"Pretty tasteless and disrespectful. No class. This is exactly the justification terrorists are probably using to prevent women from receiving 'western education,'" another critic wrote.
A Toni Okuboyejo also commented on Irina's Instagram photo saying: "Im nigerian and i find this so disrespectful. People have turned this #bringbackourgirls into a fad.Do you even know how/why the girls were kidnapped and by who? Do you even care? Or are you just posting this up because your fans will think you care and have an idea of what is going on around the world."
"Before these girls were kidnapped, boko haram has been terrorizing nigeria for 10 YEARS but you probably didnt know that and probably didnt know that boko haram is the group that kidnapped them. You just see everyone posting #bringbackourgirls and think its suddenly cool to be a humanitarian (not sure if thats the word im looking for)," Okuboyejo continued.
While some social media users slammed Shayk's actions, others maintained open minds and expressed their support for the footballer's girlfriend.
"Calm down Jeremy Gregory, Irina has used her trademark to join a noble cause movement. I am certain that she meant to genuinely help the plea," a Jorge Chainho Manuel wrote.
Probably in reference to the social media trolls who slammed her, Irina posted a message on Instagram saying: "A tiger doesn't lose sleep over the opinion of a sheep" two days after she shared the semi-nude photos of herself online.
