Dauda Kahutu Rarara, a popular Kano political musician, who was arrested over a song he composed on the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to Kano State has been released from custody.
The musician after regaining his freedom said he has no regret singing the song.
Rarara was arrested and quizzed by the operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) in Kano for his music titled 'Mai Malafa', where he talked about the way Jonathan and PDP supporters were dancing days after several people were killed in Nyanya bomb blast, Abuja.
The music was released to the market days after President Jonathan came to Kano to formally receive the former governor of the state, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the 17 minutes audio clip, the musician said instead of mourning the people who died, the president was busy 'campaigning and dancing'.
Rarara also talked about the statement of Ahmadu Adamu Mua'azu, the National Chairman of the PDP, though he declined to mention names, but the description indicate that he was referring to Jonathan and PDP supporters including Baraka Sani, former Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture, who returned to the party a week after the presidents' visit.
The musician also blasted Tanko Yakasai for his romance with the presidency.
Rarara, however, revealed that he is planning to release another song on the prospect of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country come 2015.
"Regret! No I don't have it and that will not stop me from my business which is singing. I will continue to sing on politics and events around it. Very soon, I will release a song on the APC" Rarara said.
