FA Cup Victory Will Bring More Success- Theo Walcott

Theo Walcott believes Arsenal’s triumph in the FA Cup final could usher in “more and more trophies” in the coming seasons. The Gunners look set to end their nine-year wait for major silverware by beating Hull City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on 17 May. “If we win the FA Cup, which we have a great chance to do with the way we are playing, the players are going to want more trophies,” Walcott told Arsenal website. Theo Walcott Celebrates Scoring for Arsenal. “I think the first one is so important – once you win that, you’ll win more and more. I’m pretty sure of that.” The 25-year-old English forward has not featured for the North London outfit since he sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of his left knee during Arsenal’s FA Cup third-round victory against Tottenham in January. He believes manager Arsene Wenger deserves a trophy this season, having endured several disappointments in recent years. “It would be great for the boss to win a trophy again, too. He’s shown so much belief in us throughout the years. If we don’t play well, he always reflects it back on him, even though it’s our job to go out there each week and try to perform,” he added. “That just shows how much faith he has in us all and it’s really important to him. The years just before I arrived here were unbelievable and he wants that again.” Walcott is ruled out for the rest of the season and with the ‘Three Lions’ boss, Roy Hodgson, set to name his World Cup squad on Monday, 12 May, is not in contention for this summer’s tournament in Brazil
