Chelsea offer not good enough for Omeruo -Agent

Negotiations between Chelsea and Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo over a new three-year contract may well be long drawn after his handlers said they expect a much better offer from the London club. Chelsea have tabled a new three-year deal for the Nigeria international before his contract runs out in June 2015. "Chelsea have made an offer for Kenneth, but we believe he deserves much more than they are offering," the player's football adviser Chika Akujobi told AfricanFootball.com. "He has done well at Middlesbrough and he will be going to the World Cup with Nigeria and all these should count for something." He added: "What Chelsea have is a very talented player who has a very bright future ahead of him and so we expect them to show this by the kind of offer they give him. "We will have to wait and see." The central defender has yet to make his debut for Chelsea and has been shipped out on loan first to Dutch club Ado den Haag and now to Middlesbrough. The player trained with the Chelsea first-team squad last year after he recovered from a shoulder injury and manager Jose Mourinho is expected to further run the rule on him during pre-season training in the summer.
