Why Content Is Always King In Building A Website
Don't forget, content is king. I think you would admit that building your website and publishing your first page of content didn't take very long--but let's face it, you're just getting started--and if the World Wide Web was full of 1 page websites bragging about how easy it was to create that page, there wouldn't be much of a World Wide Web.
The good news is that now that you have taken the first steps and those initial technical barriers are out of your way, you can focus your time on creating awesome, can't live without, memorable, have-to-visit every day or I'll go into withdrawal content.Content is really all a website is, after all. What did you create this site for? Are you creating a personal blog to write about your experiences, anecdotes and advice? Is this new space you have created going to be a photo blog to chronicle your adventures around the world? Are you starting an internet business or creating an online footprint for your offline business? Are you building a niche site to cement your authority in a given field? Whatever your true motivation and objectives are, you have to have content. If you want people to find your site and come back again, you have to have good content. f you want to be an internet success, you have to have exceptional content. Here is what you need to know about content:How much content is enough? If you are creating a static website (as opposed to a blog), you probably want to aim for about 25-30 pages content. Less than that, and your site might be a little too thin to get your fair share of love from Google. It was trendy, in recent times to create niche sites, keyword optimized thin sites designed to harness internet search power and generate cash for the website owner (through ads or some other means). Those sites tended to have small page counts--so try to beef up your site to avoid being unintentionally confused with a low-value site like this. How much content belongs on each page? Each page of content you write should be at least 300 words long. If possible, try to include a high-quality image and at least one link to an external site.
Don't create internet dead ends on your website--share the link juice and link out to high quality websites that someone reading your page would be interested in or find helpful.
