Online Trading: The next employment opportunity

The youth unemployment in Nigeria as shown by the Immigration recruitment disaster a month ago has reached an alarming crescendo. There is an urgent need to look at alternative employment opportunities, particularly online trading. This position is vindicated going by the teeming job seeking youths, some of who lost their lives in a stampede during the botched job aptitude test conducted by the Nigeria Immigration Services. I offer my condolence to the bereaved families. I read in the dailies that the Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency charged the youth to embrace Information Technology for job opportunities, self employment and empowerment. Then, it dawned on me to go into my archive and draw out this article for publication. The government needs to look into Internet or online jobs and partner with those who can deliver the desired result. Others notable Nigerians such as the Managing Director of Konga, an Online Store, Mr. Sim Shagaya has been clamouring for this. Online forex trading, online stock trading, binary options and other instruments such as commodities, contracts for differences, metals and oil in the years to come, may provide a succour for employment opportunities for our teeming youths and graduates who are seeking lucrative professional lines; those in employments who seek extra income and desire total control of their investments; those in retirement or are about to retire or disengage/resign from work and are in search of something to do or invest in. Unemployed graduates and youths Online forex trading offers limitless opportunities. It is a profession that can be embraced by our teeming unemployed youths and graduates. It will make them self-reliant. And once fully grasped, the fear of job loss or unemployment becomes a thing of the past. Those interested, however, need good tutelage on the art of trading through a well-packaged comprehensive course. They should desire the skill first rather than the gain, which will come later. They should be tutored by experienced traders to develop and perfect the trading styles and strategies. Online employment opportunities can take many out of the streets. It will reduce vehicular and human traffic on our roads and more safety will be guaranteed. It will boost our energy usage, if the power companies grab the opportunities. It is a way of creating jobs and recreating wealth. The recent clamour by the Managing Director of Zinox, Mr. Stanley Ekeh, to improve the usage of computer devices as we are running far below the South Africa’s consumption will make the Information Technology industry to develop more. Smart phones and devices will come to fruitful usage. Investment in this area is not expensive; all that is needed are: a computer system, Internet connection, power, bank account, training and age requirement of above 18 years. It is an employment without border as it can be done anywhere provided Internet connection is available on trading device. Careers opportunities here comprise being a trader, fund manager, trainer, market analyst, introducing brokers, representatives and among others. I have in recent times proposed this in some papers I have presented. Government needs to come in to partner with online investment or business professionals towards developing our youths and preparing them to be self reliant in future.
