Christiano Ronaldo works wonders

Christiano continues to make waves both on and off the pitch. This weekend we heard the story of David Pawlaczyk, a 14-year-old Polish boy who woke up from a coma thanks to a goal by the Portuguese star. David, a great admirer of the striker, was involved in a serious accident when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle. The youngster fell into a coma. In spite of his condition, his mother would play Cristiano's games for him through a set of headphones while he was in hospital. Then one day David woke up. It was on 19th November 2013, when Ronaldo scored his famous hat-trick in the World Cup playoffs between Portugal and Sweden. To everyone's surprise, the boy woke up when the Ballon d'Or winner netted his third goal. He made a gradual recovery to the point where he has now put the accident behind him for good. On hearing about the story, reported by the Polish newspaper 'Fakt', Ronaldo invited David and his entire family to the Bernabéu on Wednesday to watch Madrid vs. Dortmund in the Champions League. The young fan went home with one of the Portuguese star's shirts and an indelible memory of a story which he will undoubtedly remember for the rest of his life.
