Bafana draw Nigeria in AFCON

Bafana Bafana were drawn against defending champions Nigeria in Group A of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The draw was held on Sunday afternoon at the Confederation of African Football (Caf) headquarters in Cairo. Sudan and a yet to be determined team will also do battle with Bafana as they seek a ticket to the finals in Morocco. The other countries chasing the fourth spot in Group A are Libya, Namibia, Congo Brazzaville and Rwanda. The Afcon finals will take place from 17 January to 8 February 2015, and the four groups will be based in Marrakech, Agadir, Rabat and Tangier. The six match days of the Group stage will take place between 5 September and 19 November 19, 2014. Seven group winners, seven group runners-up and the best third-placed side will qualify for the tournament. Meanwhile, group G emerged as the "group of death" after Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal and one from Burundi, Botswana, Central African Republic and Guinea-Bissau were drawn together. Group G :Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, winner of Burundi/Botswana/CAR/Guinea Bissau.
